Heat‑transfer film is a cutting‑edge printing technology imported from abroad. The process comprises two main stages: direct printing and the production of transfer films. For printing, screen‑printing with a resolution of 300 dpi is employed to apply designs onto the film surface. This method delivers rich design detail, vibrant colors, excellent color consistency, minimal color variation, and outstanding reproducibility, fully meeting the visual requirements of complex patterns while being well suited for mass production. Below, we will examine the heat‑transfer film process and key considerations.
Heat transfer film It is a new printing technology introduced from abroad. The printing process consists of two main stages: direct printing and the production of transfer printing films. For direct printing, a screen‑printing method with a resolution of 300 dpi is used to apply the design onto the film surface. This approach delivers rich design detail, vibrant colors, excellent color consistency, minimal color variation, and outstanding reproducibility, fully meeting the visual requirements of complex designs while being well suited for mass production. Next, we will examine the heat‑transfer film process and the key considerations involved.

Heat transfer film It refers to the text and graphics contained within the coating. Under the combined action of heat and working pressure, it can detach from the substrate along with the protective layer, migrate firmly, and then form a printed film with special effects on the surface of the printed material. Consequently, specially formulated thermal transfer films exhibit excellent release properties, heat resistance, and soft, delicate printing. Throughout the entire thermal transfer process, not only do the text and graphics remain exceptionally “loose,” but they are also securely bonded to the product’s surface. Exquisite graphic designs—particularly those produced via offset printing—can vividly render fine details, elevating packaging and decorative aesthetics to an even higher level.
Steps to resolve defects in heat-transfer film hot stamping:
1. Keep the machine clean: Ensure that the machine’s critical components are free of oil and dust; keep the heat-transfer film clean, free of fingerprints and dust; maintain the printed materials clean, free of dust and oil; and keep the operator’s hands clean, free of oil and sweat.
2. Hot-stamping temperature: The hot-stamping temperature significantly affects the quality of heat-transfer products. If the temperature is too high, the substrate may be damaged; if it is too low, proper transfer may not occur. The ironing temperature should be determined based on factors such as the substrate, the transfer film, and the heat-transfer machine. Different materials require different ironing temperatures.
3. Hot stamping pressure: Heat transfer film The hot stamping pressure must be set to an appropriate level; otherwise, excessive pressure can damage both the stamping head and the substrate, while insufficient pressure will compromise the stamping quality. Once the pressure is adjusted, it should be secured and locked to prevent variations during mass production.
