Based on the structure of the grout transfer film, its primary constituent materials can be categorized as follows: the base film, release agent, ink, adhesive, and other key raw materials.
Based on the structure of the grout transfer film, its primary materials can be categorized as follows: Grout transfer film Membrane-based films, release agents, inks, adhesives, and other key raw materials.

1. Adhesive
The transfer film adhesive for grout sealants is a hot-melt adhesive, appearing as a colorless, transparent or pale yellow viscous liquid. After drying and forming a film, the resulting layer is transparent and exhibits excellent adhesion to surfaces coated with release agents and inks, along with superior flexibility. It also boasts strong abrasion resistance and outstanding resistance to water, acids, alkalis, and other media.
The manufacturer requires a selection.
2. Ink
The ink used in transfer films for grout‑filling agents is an intaglio ink, and its drying relies primarily on the evaporation of solvents. Once the substrate film has been selected, choose an appropriate ink based on the intended application of the printed material, its characteristics, or the specifications outlined in the job sheet. Verify that key parameters such as fineness, viscosity, hue, and adhesion all meet the print quality requirements for the ink.
3. Release agent
Release agent is a low-viscosity, transparent resin that exhibits release, film-forming, and adhesive properties. Because the solvent in the release agent evaporates relatively quickly, it is important to carefully control its viscosity—i.e., its solids content—which is typically around 23%. If the solids content falls below 19%, the transfer performance of the sealant’s transfer film after release will be suboptimal. Additionally, attention should be paid to the release agent’s transparency; otherwise, the quality of the printed layer may be compromised.
4. Substrate Film
There are many types of substrates used for transfer films in grout‑sealant applications, with PET being one of the most widely employed. It offers excellent dimensional stability, uniform tension, superior heat resistance, and outstanding release properties. In particular, it provides a distinct advantage when handling color‑tone originals.
These days, many people are tired of gray, lifeless walls and like to buy new tiles to spruce up their furniture. In fact, a lot of furniture is made with grout‑based transfer films. Grout transfer film The membrane is, in fact, a dielectric material used in the transfer‑printing process of grout sealants. It has a wide range of applications.
The transfer film for grout sealants primarily separates the protective layer and the pattern layer from the polyester substrate during the transfer process, ingeniously leveraging the combined effects of heat and pressure to ensure that the entire decorative layer adheres firmly to the substrate via hot-melt adhesive. This type of transfer film also uses a polyethylene base; a wood‑grain decorative layer is printed onto a release liner, and through the application of temperature, pressure, and other factors, the design is transferred onto the surface of engineered boards or furniture components, resulting in exquisitely decorated pieces. Moreover, there’s no need to worry about the quality of these furnishings adorned with beautiful patterns. Thanks to the excellent adhesion provided by the transfer film, the surfaces of such furniture are not only resistant to abrasion, heat, and light but also feature innovative designs, fresh and elegant motifs, diverse styles, and minimal color variation—making them widely employed in furniture decoration and design.
